The Lisu Script

Although this script looks like it is a version of the Latin script, it is not.

Modern, Unicode-encoded, Lisu fonts (or fonts containing the Lisu characters as well as others) are very few in number. At the time of this writing (19 August 2016), this following is readily available: Noto Sans Lisu (search for ‘Noto Sans Lisu’)

Marking Emphasis

It is quite possible that the need will arise at some point to emphasize a string of Lisu text. It is important to note that the Lisu script does not have an italic style. Once a bold Lisu font becomes available, bold type should be used. In the meantime, use colour.
