All journals with a print version, regardless in BTS or not and with only a couple of excpetions/special cases, shall be published with front matter in every first issue of a volume and back matter in every last issue in a volume. Journals with one physical issue per volume include front and back matter in that fascicule.
E-only journals (issue-based and with the option of Advance articles) include front matter only.
E-only journals observing the Continuous Article Processing model neither publish front nor back matter.
