The Lisu Script
Although this script looks like it is a version of the Latin script, it is not.
A Lisu Font
Modern, Unicode-encoded, Lisu fonts (or fonts containing the Lisu characters as well as others) are very few in number. At the time of this writing (19 August 2016), this following is readily available: Noto Sans Lisu (search for ‘Noto Sans Lisu’)
Noto Sans Lisu Type Sizes
main text, block quotes (~ Brill 11 pt): Noto Sans Lisu 9.6 pt
appendices, bibliographies (~ Brill 10 pt): Noto Sans Lisu 8.6 pt
footnote text, indexes (~ Brill 9 pt): Noto Sans Lisu 8 pt
Other values compared with standard Brill type:
Brill 16 pt – Noto Sans Lisu 14 pt
Brill 14 pt – Noto Sans Lisu 12½ pt
Marking Emphasis
It is quite possible that the need will arise at some point to emphasize a string of Lisu text. It is important to note that the Lisu script does not have an italic style. A bold Noto Sans Lisu font is now available, so for emphasis, bold type should be used.
