Monographs en Edited Volumes
There are three different licenses (reflected in the texts below for CC BY, CC BY-NC and CC BY-NC-ND) for Open Access books. The transmittal form needs to specify the exact license and state who owns copyright.
The Open Access texts need to be added to p. iv and to the first page of each chapter (prelims, bibliography and indices excluded).
At the top of p. iv, the Open Access logo and text (two paragraphs) are placed. Within monographs and edited volumes all chapters need to have the Open Access line at the bottom of the page since the chapters are displayed individually on the Platform and can be purchased separately.
Copyright always lies with the author(s) and editor(s) (for the whole volume) if the complete book is in Open Access; the copyright line on p. iv and at the bottom of the first page of each chapter should reflect this.
If only a limited number of chapters of an edited volume are in Open Access, the standard Open Access logo and texts at the top of p. iv are omitted and only the Open Access line added to the chapter(s) concerned. If Brill holds copyright to the complete book, the copyright line on p. iv should be as follows:

Print version and e-book version (i.e. webready and full-text XML) need to be identical, except for retroactive OA books (see Retroactive Open Access_General information). It is correct that the print version also contains the Open Access information as Brill is given an exclusive license to publish the print version.
