Access to specific parts of online issues should be set to free, meaning that everyone can access these parts, also without a valid subscription. Hereafter an overview is given of the parts for which the access should be set to free, together with the consequences for the xml.

Front and back matter 

Front matter is in general included in the first issue of a new volume. Back matter is included in the last issue of a volume. There is no @article-type that can used to identify front matter and back matter. As a result, the @article-type="other" is used for both parts of a journal issues. Also, the instruction <ali:free_to_read xmlns:ali="http://www.niso.org/schemas/ali/1.0/"/> is added to the <permissions>-group to set up the free-access to these parts at brull.com.
