Fonts

In Brill publications, Thai text occurs sporadically. As a stopgap measure, we have chosen the standard Windows font Angsana New as the default Thai font, but this may change in the future if we have to deal with Thai text more frequently and/or with more expansive Thai text.

Angsana New font sizes correlated with “Brill” font sizes

• Angsana New: 14 pt ~ Brill 11 pt

• Angsana New: 12.7 pt ~ Brill 10 pt

• Angsana New: 11.5 pt ~ Brill 9 pt

Windows and macOS

Windows fonts, as long as they are TrueType fonts (.ttf) or TrueType Collections (.ttc) can also be used on macOS.
